The Old “Nigerian Prince Scam” resurfaces as “Russian Billionaire Fraud”
Scammers continue to get creative when it comes to current events – and this new scam is no exception.
Fraudsters are impersonating a close ally to Vladmir Putin, President of Russia, with an fake email from Viktor Zubkov. Viktor served as the 36th Prime Minister of Russia over a decade ago. This type of scam leans on the victim’s pro-Russian alliance, and is designed to be an inheritance scam.

Victims agree to share their accounts with the cybercriminals so they can share banking and personal details that will be drained from their accounts.
