Australian Government Commits to Become a World-Leader in Cybersecurity by 2030
The Australian Government has leveraged insight from cybersecurity experts to create a new six-part plan to combat cybersecurity over the coming decade.

And that’s what we find in the Australian Government’s 2023-2030 Australian Cybersecurity Strategy. It’s a six-part vision that covers all components of cyber attacks.

According to Australia’s Minister for Home Affairs and Cybersecurity, Clare O’Neil:
“The strategy is bold and ambitious – and it has to be. Because one thing is abundantly clear from what’s happened to our cyber environment in the last five years: we simply can’t continue as we are. We need to push harder, we need to get in front of this problem, and for the first time, Australia’s Cybersecurity Strategy will help our country do just that.”
The strategy calls for three “Horizons” (in essence, phases) where a foundation of better protections is build from years 2023-2025, cyber maturity is scaled “across the whole economy” in years 2026-2028, and then “lead the development of emerging cyber technologies” in years 2029-2030.
